Morphology (Affixes)
Hi guys. I'd like to share a little bit about my favorite professor of morphology of linguistics.
He is Kangjeng Pangeran Harya Hubert Emmanuel Harimurti Kridalaksana Martanegara. He was born in Ungaran, Semarang, Central Java, 23rd of December, 1939.
Harimurti obtain a bachelor's degree in literature from the Faculty of letters, University of Indonesia in 1963, then continued his studies in the field of didactics of languages at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of america in 1970. In 1971 he became a Fulbright Scholar at the university. In 1973 he joined the summer program and became a scholar at the University of Michigan, USA.
Now, he is one of the great teachers in the Faculty of Cultural Sciences University of Indonesia, since 2004, served as Director of the Center for Lexicology and Lexicography. His name is known as a literary critic, the author whose works have been published in a number of books.
Harimurti defines that morphology of lingustics is studying morfer and all the combinations from the structure of the language.
I am interested in affixes.
Since my previous blog is about syntax that related to grammar, in this blog I'd like to have a relationship also with grammar topic.
For more information about affixes. You can ask me and give your comment below. Thank you. 😊
